Golden mornings.

This is what I see every morning, when I arrive to work. All those de-icers are ready to go to Japan.

Kastrup sandbeach.

If you walk 30 minutes from Copenhagen airport to north, you´ll discover this public beach. Water is fine - cold at the beginning, but later you don´t want to go out! :) Scenery includes about 15 huge wind generators and 200m high bridge that takes drivers to Sweden.
P.S. - After Tallinn and Pärnu, this was my third sand beach by the sea that I have visited.

Adventures of senile designer.

Thanks to some unfortunate events, like forgetting my keys and mobile phone behind the door, I slept on Sunday night at Copenhagen Airport.
Above ladies from airport who kept stearing at me whole night...

The Tivoli Gardens.

Finally visited Copenhagen´s Tivoli. It is more than 160 years old, located next to city hall, and is totally different concept than I´ve seen before. Space is not filled up with enternainment´s, but with restaurants and flower gardens. Of course you have a chance to make your stomach crazy - just to mention, they have the world´s highest mary-go-around!

Friday night tango.

That´s nice! It was about 23:30 o´clock, when I noticed those people dancing in Copenhagen old town. They are problably every friday there - should I check it out next time and take some dancing lessons? :)

Arachnophobia.

Well, well - what we have here? Little thumb-sized (!) fellow hanging on its web and peeping into your bedroom. You might want to close your windows before going to sleep... Good night! (LIGHT SWITCHES OFF).
Ps: Did you know, that the strongest fear for spiders is from northern Europe? Wierd, isn´t it?

Sunday aerobics.

500m to east from where I live, there is a huge park called Fælledparken. I think it is at least 1/4 of Copenhagen old town and can amount up to 12 football grounds. People are having fun there - playing football, grilling, listening music, and every sunday there is a public aerobics for everyone who´s interested.

Cinemania.

Went to cinema last night to see Pirates of the Caribbean 2. I couldn´t fully "dive" into the movie, because there was a somekind of error with digital sound system - everything sounded flat and bass was missing...
Above picture of interesting lighting system they had in cinema.

I do!

Small church very close to mermaid and Kastellen. Just next to it there is a bust of Churchill himself - looking sad and disappointed - don´t know the reason why it´s there.

Roskilde.

Before jumping on a train, I decided to make a walk around Roskilde. Really beautiful city! There´s everything, what I think is missing in Copenhagen. Very strong sense of history, colors, cute small wooden houses and more relaxed people. I also visited Roskildes Cathedral - place, where are all Danish kings, queens, princes etc are burried. What a experience!... I think I would really liked to live here instead of Copenhagen, but unfortunately I couldn´t find a place to stay.

Music For The Happy People.

From 7th to 16th July there´s a Jazz Festival in Copenhagen. Different bands are playing on numerous stands located in old town. Nice way to "switch off" work mode after a day at office and let new energy to come in.

Remember Arne?

Wierd, Arne Jacobsen´s Royal Hotel was standing all the time in front of my face, but I never "saw" it. I just thought it was a another concrete+glass monster in this city. The army-green color makes this building look very old fashioned and bit ugly. But when you have a look inside, you´ll understand why it is called Royal! :)

Steam maschine.

I believe Danish railway is doing some kind of social experiment on us - why would they stop a train for 40 minutes in middle of nowhere, wagons full of passengers, when there is a +35 degrees under the sun? Yeah, people went mad...
Next time when I came from work (I travel from Roskilde to Copenhagen by train), every second wagon was empty. I understand why.
